TB-500 research education entry
TB-500 (Thymosin Beta-4 fragment) — studied in preclinical research for systemic tissue repair, cell migration, angiogenesis, and reduced scar formation and fibrosis via actin-binding mechanisms.
About this page
TB-500 is a synthetic peptide related to Thymosin Beta-4 (TB4), the most abundant beta-thymosin in the human body. A 2012 landmark review (PMID: 22074294) established that TB4 is released by platelets and macrophages after injury to protect cells, promote cell migration, mobilize stem/progenitor cells, and form new blood vessels. Critically, TB4 decreases myofibroblast activity in wounds, resulting in reduced scar formation and fibrosis. A 2026 scoping review of 80 studies confirmed TB4/TB-500 evidence across wound/skin/soft tissue, vascular/endothelial, and bone healing. TB-500 is available as a component of the Wolverine Stack (BPC-157 + TB-500).
