BPC-157 research education entry
BPC-157 (Body Protection Compound-157) — a synthetic pentadecapeptide studied in preclinical research for tendon, ligament, muscle, and gut tissue repair via VEGFR2/Akt-eNOS and ERK1/2 signaling pathways.
About this page
BPC-157 (Body Protection Compound-157) is a synthetic pentadecapeptide originally isolated from human gastric juice by Dr. Predrag Sikiric in 1993. It is one of the most extensively studied recovery peptides in preclinical research, with consistent positive findings across tendon, ligament, muscle, bone, gut, and nerve tissue models. A 2025 scoping review from the University of Utah (PMC12446177) confirmed BPC-157 activates VEGFR2 and the Akt-eNOS pathway to promote angiogenesis and fibroblast activity — particularly in hypovascular tissues like tendons and ligaments. It is available as a component of the Wolverine Stack (BPC-157 + TB-500) and KLOW 80mg.
